BRING YOUR DAUGHTER TO WORK DAY

Readers, I have yet to update you on yet another job change for Finny's mommy, which occurred in January 2018. Drum roll, please...

Although I still perform some "lawyerly" tasks, I am officially a recovered lawyer. I have traded in the scales of justice for something that, so far, inspires me, challenges me, and makes me want to make a difference - serving as the Director of Employee Relations for Pittsburgh Public Schools. Finley has inspired me to make such changes in my life. In fact, when I leave work, Cake often says, "Where is mommy going?" To which, Finny answers, "to help people." Finny, I want to make you proud. Also, I want a job that provides for healthy work/life balance because you, my Finley, are the best thing that has ever happened to me and every extra second I get with you makes me that much happier. You are my Finley, my only Finley...

So, it was with much pride that I brought Finley to work with me at the Pittsburgh Public Schools Administrative Building. She immediately bonded with the (amazing) Employee Relations team and all of the door knobs.

ROXY

Welcome to the family, Roxy. Cake and Shady have a new puppy named, Roxy! Here Finley is showing off her moves with a big, rubber bouncy ball for Roxy. Finley loves talking about Roxy's bones and her tail. Who can blame her, they are both impressive. And yes Finley, mommy does want to play catch...all day long! Look at Finny run!

HUGS MAKE IT ALL BETTER

Most weekends, Finley and Lev reunite and, yes, it feels so good. Between "reunions" Finley often shouts for Kim and Lev and to "run down the driveway like we do at Kim and Lev's house!" MILESTONE ALERT: The two hugged the other day at the playground and a third-party (Beth G) caught the moment on camera! The hug made it all "feel better" as Lev had taken a tumble.

CURIOUS FINLEY

One of Finley's new favorite book series is curious George. This does not surprise me as my sweet baby girl always wants to learn and see more. I love spending time with my favorite animal watcher, dino watcher, and rain watcher. With Finley, I feel as though I have this amazing opportunity to experience life again...thank you, my love.

THROWBACK THURSDAY, SLEEP DEPRIVATION

Finley, remember the days when we never slept through the night? I can see it all over our faces...

All I want for Christmas is three (3) consecutive hours of sleep. This picture is especially significant as it was taken the day (12/10/17) that we met Kdubbs and Ldubbs.
