NAPPING

Finley's school made a book honoring everyone in her class. Please see below our sweet Finley. It has hard not to chuckle at her favorite activity - she is definitely her pap-pap's granddaughter. Truth be told, apparently Finley rarely sleeps during nap time. Rather, she rests with her school lovey; gets to suck her thumb (able to take off  her mask for nap); savors the relative quiet; watches her class-mates (and gives her mommy full reports in the evening); relaxes in the dark classroom; and listens to the soothing classical/lullaby music (aka "music without words") that they play.

NATURE - LET'S GO PLAY OUTSIDE

During COVID-19 we have spent so much time outside where we often stumble across the unexpected. Most recently, this occurred with the best life pile I have ever seen. Our sweet little ones, Lev, Bodhi, and Finley (and even some grown-ups...wink wink) were literally swimming in the leaves.

DO WE NEED TO STAGE A HALLOWEEN INTERVENTION

Readers, Finley simply cannot let go of Halloween. We are still reading spooky stories, hugging ghosts, and wearing creepy shirts. One has to admire her commitment. An avid reader may notice that there is a new addition to Finley's stuffed animal family (aka the "Crew") - winter ghost. Bonus points if you can find winter ghost. HINT: She is wearing a scarf

Speaking of Halloween, I forgot to post the obligatory pumpkin carving pics! Finny wanted to carve a pumpkin that was scared -  I'd say she was successful!

PORCH SWING, WE MISSED YOU

Avid readers will likely remember that in Finley's early days, we spent many moons (and suns;) "swinging" on the porch swing. So, the burning question on everyone's mind is, do mommy and Finley still swing on the porch swing together...the answer is, "YOU BET!"

BIDEN WINS AND WE CELEBRATE WITH WHIPPED CREAM

 We all breathed a sigh of relief when Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were announced victorious. We just happened to be walking down main street with Pap-pap and grandma when the announcement was made and enjoyed an impromptu celebration complete with honking horns, social distancing, and crepes from Gepetto's (where Finley got her first taste of whip cream...needless to say, it likely won't be her last).

Here, we are celebrating - Finny's "celebration" face is priceless.

FEELING GRATEFUL

 During these COVID-19 times, Finley and mommy are feeling very grateful to the people in our lives. We love you Cake, Shady, and Roxy (and ghost, sloth, and lovey)
