SUPER FINLEY!

It's a bird; it's a plane; it's super Finley! Readers, Finley has a new obsession, playing super heroes with her buddies, Lev and Bodhi. Although mommy is not a huge fan of "bad guys" (I prefer people who are misunderstood and/or people who may have made a bad decision), Finley, nevertheless, pursues these "bad guys" with her super powers (webs and water) and super friends. 

Readers, don't blink, you might miss Flash Finley!

I SPY SOMETHING CUTE (TWO FRIENDS GOING TO D.C.)

During the holiday break, Kim and I made a spur-of-the-moment decision to take our brave youngsters on a trip to D.C. to visit Uncle Peter, Aunt Cassidy, Miles, Gideon, and Isaac. Needless to say Lev and Finley were so excited they could hardly sit still (thank goodness for car seat seat-belts!)

BIG GIRL BED!

 Finley has graduated to a big girl bed! Look out everyone. Readers, if you see Finley's mommy walking around like a zombie then please be patient as young Finley has discovered the art of sprinting down the hallway at 6:00 am to jump into mommy's bed to say, "Time to Wake UP!" 

Guess what mommy says, "Five more minutes, please."

The observant viewer may notice that Finley also has a new blanket - her spooky blanket with lots of ghosts...boo! This was the only present she asked for from Santa, and the big guy delivered. There was only one thing I forgot to tell Finley about Santa as evidenced by the sweet exchange that I had with Finley a couple of nights ago:

FINLEY: Mommy, when do we have to give the ghost blanket back to Santa?

MOMMY: Oh, sweet Finley, you do not have to give it back. Santa gave it to you.

DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN

Folks, we crawled into new year and time is flying. In fact, today is already my birthday. Keeping up with our tradition of having mommy and Finley time at one of our favorite parks, Squaw Valley Park, on my birthday (two years in arow of lots of sun and few people), Finley and I spent hours outside...no distractions...just taking it all in. Thank you for making it so special, Finley.

And this past weekend...

And then we had surprise visitors, pap-pap and grandma! Finley and grandma decorated the house - Finley was especially excited about the "purple poop" she iced on the cake...oh boy, toddler potty humor.
