At Timberlock, Finley had many firsts included riding a horse for the first time. She got to ride "Gator" and horse and toddler immediately took to one another. Finley was such a natural that the horse caretaker? whisper? person? Let her ride Gator on the trails through the woods! This was a proud moment for Finley and mommy!

...Finley turned four (4) this summer. Time has been tricky this summer so Finley wanted to remind everyone that she is four!
A rare (fleeting), quiet moment at Timberlock. (Readers please note, Finley does not like to wear matching pjs. Readers please further note that the star pjs just happened to be a gift from Aunt Cassidy).
As some readers may know, I had an unexpected week-long stay in the hospital for an emergency surgery. During my time in the hospital, Finley's grandparents watched her and, in so doing, they did absolutely everything to keep her distracted and happy including using our PNC Carousel Season Pass - Here Finley is with her fearless grandma going around and around and around and around again and again.
Thank you pap-pap and grandma. I could never do any of this without you. I am so grateful and blessed to have you guys. Thank you Finley for being so brave - the thought of you got me through each and every second. You are the love of my life (over and over again)
Here Grandma and pap-pap are doing whatever it takes to make Finley smile. It looks like she was successful. Love love love love you. Thank you for taking such good care of Finley and me.

Some readers may be wondering what Finley's favorite part of Timberlock was. This is a difficult question to answer but I think "the bell" is the winner.
Here she is ringing it with Sevi! The thrill of the ding dong and, on this particular occasion, Finley and Sevi dinged and donged 15 times! Possible a Timberlock record.
Nothing makes me laugh harder than rowing with my sister/Aunt Cassidy and my daughter/the Finnster in a canoe race! It took us awhile to figure out how to steer the dang boat (turns out Aunt Cassidy has a much better sense of direction than I do) but once we started moving, we were a force to be reckoned with (we came in Second...second to last!). Perhaps though what was most impressive was how peaceful and content Finley was during the hours we were at "sea." Love you, Aunt Cassidy so much - thanks for exposing me and now Finley to the wide wide world!
