Although the world around us has been somewhat topsy turvy, we are lucky to have so much consistent love in our lives. Here we are with Cake having cake on mommy's birthday. Yum. We love you Shady and Cake. Forever.

BYE-BYE PULL UPS (2 YEARS LATER)

It was a banner week in the world of Finley and her mom. Although Finley has been potty-trained for a long long time, she has boycotted wearing "undies" to school. However, this all changed this past week when Finley boldly and bravely ditched the pull-up and proudly went to school in her "undies." She joked that she would not do this until she was five -- we all thought it was impossible but here we are 2 months before her 5th birthday. Morale of the story: Do not ever doubt Finley! 

The moment was so monumental that we had "cake" and celebrated. We also celebrate a round off of Chemo for pap-pap - nothing could make us all smile more than to see pap-pap and Finley doing what the do best - eating treats, laughing, and loving.
