ONE DAY AT A TIME

As we try to find our way without our Pap-Pap (we love you so much), we do what we can.

As Pap-Pap would say, keep on living, living, living...

Freezing cold, blissfully empty, beautiful Kennywood the day after. Hold onto yourself. Hold onto each other.

We hold on tight to our loved ones.

We remember and love, love, love.

WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING

Much has happened, since our brief hiatus from Finally Finley. 

Finley went to her first hockey game! She got to sit with her cousins, while Uncle Pete and I enjoyed our quiet seats a few rows away.  Smile, cousins!

Finley lost her first tooth! Tooth O for Oliver. Unfortunately, the tooth fairy was so exhausted that night that she fell asleep before leaving something for Finley while she slept. Not to worry, she worked overtime and was able to come through the next morning with a Lincoln, which Finley took to the Rite Aid to buy a Valentine's Bear, which she named Heart, from the clearance section. 

Finley had her first, gloriously frustrating experience attempting to put together the ice cream shop for the train.

LOVEY, WE LOVE YOU.

 When the cousins visited, they went with Aunt Cassidy to Whole Foods and something terrible happened. Lovey was left behind. What followed was about 3.5 hours of panic including Finley's mom begging Whole Foods to let her sift through trash that had already been compacted. Although Whole Foods said that nobody had turned in lovey and that they would call me if someone did (I gave a very detailed description of lovey - he looks a little like a napkin with a poof ball with one blue string and one purple string), we did not hear anything. On a whim, I called hours later, and guess what friends, Lovey had been found! Finley's mom triumphantly drove to Whole Foods (while literally crying tears of relief) to bring our sweet Lovey Dovey home. 

P.S. There was some dispute between Aunt Cassidy and Aunt Tiff regarding whether Lovey was actually ever taken inside of Whole Foods. To this end, I submit Exhibit A. I SPY LOVEY.
