When Silas' mom, Emma, called to ask me if Finley wanted to go on a dinner date with Silas, Finley exuberantly accepted. We dined outdoors after a long, hard week of school/work this past Friday night at Bakery Square. Silas and Finley were smiles as they joked about eating squirmy wormies (aka spaghetti). Finley even brought her toy rubber snack to the date.
But the absolute highlight of the night was our unexpected encounter with the famous (infamous) Grinch (reformed). Finley has had no desire to sit on Santa's lap but upon seeing the Grinch she was all for it with Silas right by her side.
(p.s. they were smiling the entire time...just did not get a good shot. OMG, lovey got to meet the Grinch too! Needless to say, the night was a success and we are hoping a second date is in the future.
